“The nine” will spend their summer laying waste to arenas in the US as they headline the first annual Rock Star Energy Mayhem Festival. As Slipknot’s first tour in three years, these dates are sure to bring the band’s legion of diehard fans, affectionately dubbed “maggots,” out in full force. The tour kicks off in early July and will lead the band through to a Reading/Leeds Festival slot in the UK at the end of August (Fri 22nd Aug: Leeds, Sun 24th Aug: Reading).
,
‘All Hope is Gone’ is more of a statement than a record. Corey Taylor comments, “Every album we have made is a statement about that space in time. I think this era is the most mature, most beautiful and the most powerful. We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men. I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever made. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.”
,
The album promises to blend elements of 2004’s ‘Vol 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’ and 2001’s ‘Iowa’, while adding a perspective, freshness and depth that only three years apart can bring. The first official ‘single’ “Psychosocial,” will be released digitally on 30th June.

..”Musically fantastic, guns n roses meets jet, meets the doors , the influence in their music is obvious, all be it with a twist, from what I can make out the lyrics seem to be a mixture of fighting, and shall we say making love, or the 2 fs, every movement of the band is unpredictable (except the drummer for obvious reasons ) the sweat is pissing out of them, as their 30 min set comes to an end both myself and the crowd are blown away, if your into QOSTA /Rage against / Chilli peppers, then you have to check these out, there’s definitely something here for you” .. to read the full article and see the live photographs follow this link HERE:
“Between songs Nicholas bantered about the new album ‘Silent Cry’ and possible new tour in October and how cool it was to play such intimate venues and be so close to the fans. Much to his dismay he was heckled by the crowd with chants of ‘Feeder, Feeder’ and ‘I love you Grant’ to which he did chuckle at.
The set was 90 mins long, full of vitality and passion and over too quickly for my liking.
,
The new material suggests that Feeder have gone back to their roots with heavy guitars and shows that they are constantly evolving as a band reflecting passing time while never forgetting exactly what first inspired them to come together all those years ago.” to read the full gig review and view the photographs follow this link HERE:
Brigade are currently touring the UK with Fightstar when our man James caught up with them. After they had completed their sound check the guys agreed to the interview. The initial questions of “how’s the tour going ?”, and about the release of the new album “Come Morning We fight” are met with a real enthusiasm, they are all very excited and with the album being well received I can understand why. I then hit them between the eyes with.. To read more..

My Awesome Compilation new album ‘FRONTIERS’ is ready to be released and after waiting 3 years the fans are getting intense with anticipation:
“With the new material,” explains drummer Andy Driver, “we have gone for a darker, more intense edge. We wrote the songs like mini movie plots, some based on real experiences, (‘Accelerate’ — a car chase!), some on stories (‘Ghosts On The Underground’) and some simply plucked from our imagination (‘The Theatre Room’).”
“Lyrically, we have taken a new slant from the last album,” continues vocalist/guitarist Chris Driver, “Where we assume different characters and angles in each song to add to the dynamic. We wanted this album to be only half an hour long and hard hitting. There is an element of frustration in songs like ‘accelerate’ and ‘hostage’; it suits the content of the song and gives it an edge - anger. I guess we’re definitely a bit pissed off at the music industry and we’ve come up with darker subjects to write about (‘Red Is For Danger’ - A guy ready to kill) to release our feelings.”
“We’ve still kept FRONTIERS very much in the MAC vein and worked hard on the melodies and structures (with producer Larry Hibbitt),” says bassist Darius Cobb, “So it still has the hooks, the sweet choruses and rocking keyboard lines. But we’ve brought an edge and a purpose to the songs too.”

Cage The Elephant’s early evening show at the Earl Of Camden saw queues around the block as people tried to get into the show.
,
The Camden Crawl allows ticket holders to move between venues in NW1 throughout the festival, although the popularity of some bands meant that some waiting was required.
,
Playing a half hour set of scuzzy rhythm and blues Cage The Elephant got down and dirty with the crowd, with lead singer Matt Schultz leaning into the mosh pit at the front.
,
In the middle of the set Schultz climbed onto the speakers and made his way down the bar, singing into the microphone while fans crowd-surfed towards the stage. Having made his way safely back to the rest of his band Schultz then dived head first into the sweaty throng.
,
The singer careered towards the floor, with only his feet visible for a moment as he disappeared into the crowd, before returning to the stage. Schultz appeared to have almost lost a shoe in the incident, explaining: “Fuck, I thought I’d have to walk around the rest of the day with just one shoe!”
,
With the set finished Cage The Elephant decided to leave the stage by walking through the crowd – with some band members attempting to crowd surf towards the door.
